Product Overview *New* - The PDS Air™ partial discharge surveying tool from HVPD represents the very latest in handheld PD test technology. Incorporating a digital TEV-dB display and external airborne acoustic probes, the test unit provides the 'first-line of defence' for the early detection of PD activity in MV cables and plant from 3.3 kV to 45 kV. Rapid, 'look-see' insulation condition testing is possible through the unique combination of three PD measurement technologies: HFCT, TEV and Airborne Acoustic. The PDS Air™ handheld test unit meets the requirements of both utility and industrial MV plant owners for a simple, portable, and easy-to-use handheld PD screening device for use by all operational staff in the substation. The unit is recommended for use in Phase 1 of the HVPD 4-Phase PD Test and Monitoring Solution which requires PD pre-screening of 100% of the network. Benefits include Digital TEV sensor measurement with numerical LED display. The only handheld PD test unit in the market to combine 3x PD sensor technologies (TEV, Acoustic and HFCT) in one device. Measurement of PD in metal-clad switchgear/plant with airborne acoustic sensors and accurate digital...

PDSurveyor™ Product Overview The PDSurveyor™ is HVPD's original handheld PD surveying tool. It is the 'first-line of defence' for the detection of partial discharge activity in On-line medium voltage (MV) power cables and plant in the voltage range 3.3 kV to 45 kV. The unit enables the user to carry out rapid (10 - 20 seconds per plant item), 'look-see' insulation condition testing through a unique combination of measurement technology, incorporating three types of PD sensor: HFCT, TEV and Airborne Acoustic. The PDSurveyor™ has been designed by HVPD to meet the specific requests from both utility and industrial MV plant owners for a simple, portable and easy-to-use PD test device which can be used by all operational staff in MV substations. The PDSurveyor™ is the most flexible handheld PD screening device on the market as it contains three built-in PD sensors to enable the unit to be used to detect partial discharge activity in MV plant including metal-clad switchgear and power cables. Alternative versions of the unit are now available for specialist purposes, including the testing of rotating machines; see the PDSurveyor™ Family page for more info. The primary...

The Radalert HAC001 is a general purpose geiger counter that measures alpha, beta, gamma, and X-radiation. Exciting new features of the Radalert 100™ (which is the upgraded version of the popular Radalert 50™), include a three-second update and a utility menu that allows you to change the default settings for several operating parameters. Its digital liquid crystal display (LCD) shows the current radiation level in your choice of milliroentgens per hour from .001 to 110 or counts per minute (cpm) from 0 to 350,000. When SI units are selected, the LCD shows readings in microsieverts per hour from .01 to 1100 or counts per second (cps) from 0 to 3,500. This instrument also offers an accumulated total and timer function, up to 9,999,000 counts and 40 hours.

*Without Auto Alert Function. The CRM-100™ is a general purpose geiger counter that measures alpha, beta, gamma, and x-radiation. It is intended for personal safety and educational purposes. Like the popular Radalert 100™, the CRM-100™ features a 3-second update on its digital liquid crystal display (LCD). The LCD shows the current radiation level in your choice of milliroentgens per hour from .001 to 110 or counts per minute (cpm) from 0 to 350,000. When SI units are selected, the LCD shows readings in microsieverts per hour from .01 to 1100 or counts per second (cps) from 0 to 3,500. This instrument also offers an accumulated total and timer function, up to 9,999,000 counts and 40 hours. A red LED blinks and a beeper chirps with each count (the chirp can be muted).

You can configure the program so that a Radiation Alert executes a computer program or batch file, and/or sets voltage to another serial port on the computer to trigger a relay switch that stops a machine, for instance.  Pleasing interface, including and easy to understand running total and summary of Radiation Count data,  attractive 3D graphing, a flashing LED with each radiation count, and handy speed buttons. Identify your monitoring station and associated data records, including graphs and spreadsheets, by the Person Monitoring, Location, Altitude, Geiger Counter Model, etc. The count data for each minute is recorded on an Internal Spreadsheet, and you can make notes for each of those minutes for analysis that you may be conducting. The program also saves the radiation count data every minute to a text file that can be exported to an external spreadsheet program such as Excel or Lotus 123 for further analysis. GeigerGraph also incorporates a simulation designed to mimic the recording and graphing of radiation counts in the instance where you have no compatible digital Geiger counter plugged into your computer to...
